Dirk
Behlau (aka The Pixeleye), born in 1971, is a
professional Photographer and Designer from Cologne/Germany.
Pixeleye is addicted to pixels and fast rockin´cars from the
40s to 70s: Mopars, Hot Rods and Dragster - massively
overpowered race cars which ride the quartermile in a few
seconds like hell. Not to forget the marvelous Retro Pin-Ups
from the golden times when women were still real women with
charme, glamour and pride!

Dirks photographic work as been published in various
magazines and books worldwide like Street Magazine,
Motoraver, Dragracer Magazine, Novum, Encore
Magazine, Autobild, Visual-X, Powerglide Magazine,
Smokin´ Shutdown, Prestige cars and many, many
more...a german TV-feature on channel VOX has been
broadcasted in autumn 2006, another one is coming in
summer 2007.
His first photobook with Hot Rods, Mopars, Dragster
& Pin-Ups will be published worldwide in autumn
2007. A "Girls & Car" calendar for 2008 (to be
released through the mediagiant Mohn
Media/Bertelsmann) is in the pipeline as well.

yourself where the name "Girls on Films" comes from...
...well, this is a hommage to the well known 80s pop song "Girls on
Film" by
Duran Duran - and due the fact that these girls are not even
photographed on film material - they breathe digital on camera
memorycards.
